Privacy notice
How this principal-led advisory handles personal data collected through this website.
This notice explains what personal data AZMA Consulting processes when you visit this website or contact us, why we process it, and what rights you have. It describes this website as it is actually built: a static site with no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party requests.
1. Who is responsible for your data (controller)
The controller of the personal data described in this notice is:
- Mourad Saadi, trading as Azma-Consulting SAADI (Einzelfirma)
- Bernerring 7, 4054 Basel, Switzerland
- Email: contact@azma-consulting.ch
For any question about this notice or about your data, write to contact@azma-consulting.ch.
2. In short
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you will see no cookie banner.
- The only personal data we receive from you through the site is what you type into the contact form.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server/access logs as part of operating the site securely.
- We use your data to answer your enquiry and for nothing else. We do not add you to mailing lists.
3. What personal data we collect, and exactly when
3.1 Contact form
When you submit the contact form, we collect the fields you enter:
- Name (first and last name)
- Email address
- Organisation (optional)
- Telephone (optional)
- Subject — selected from a list of our service lines
- Your message — the free-text content you write
The form also asks you to acknowledge this notice before it will submit.
We collect this data at the moment you press “Send”. Submitting the form sends your message to the form handler operated by our website host, Netlify (United States), which receives it and stores it on its servers, applies spam filtering, and then notifies us by email. A submission therefore exists in two places: the form store kept by our website host and our mailbox. The site’s own pages do not log or store the submission.
3.2 Server and access logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical data when a browser requests a page — typically the IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the browser/device type, and the response status. This is a normal part of operating and securing a web server.
3.3 Email correspondence
If you email us, or if we reply to a message you sent through the form, we process the content of that correspondence, your email address and any attachments, so that we can handle the matter you raised.
4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Contact-form content | To answer your enquiry and take any steps you ask for before an engagement | We process this data in order to answer your enquiry and to take the steps you ask for before any engagement. |
| Email correspondence | To handle and answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to perform or prepare a mandate | We process this data in order to handle and answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to perform or prepare a mandate. |
| Server/access logs | To operate the site securely and keep it available (security and abuse prevention) | We process server logs in order to keep this site secure and available. |
5. What we do not do
- We do not build profiles of you and we do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, in connection with this website.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, heat-maps, session recorders or any third-party tracking.
- We do not embed third-party content (no external fonts, scripts, frames or widgets). All fonts are self-hosted.
- We do not operate a newsletter and we do not add form senders to any mailing list.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
6. How long we keep your data (retention)
- Contact-form submissions and email correspondence: held both in the form store kept by our website host and in our mailbox, kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for 24 months from the last exchange, then deleted from both, unless an ongoing mandate or a legal retention duty requires a longer period.
- Server/access logs: kept by our hosting provider for its standard, limited log-retention period, for security and operation.
- Where an engagement results in a contract, records may be subject to statutory retention duties under Swiss law (for example bookkeeping/retention periods); such records are kept for the period the law requires.
7. Who we share data with (recipients and processors)
- Netlify, Inc. (United States) — our website host and form provider. It receives and stores contact-form submissions, applies spam filtering on them, and notifies us by email, and therefore processes the data above on our behalf as a processor.
- Hostpoint (Switzerland) — our domain/DNS and email provider. It holds our domain and DNS records and stores our mailbox, and therefore processes the data above on our behalf as a processor.
- No other third party receives your data through this website.
8. Cross-border transfer
This website runs on infrastructure in the United States, operated by our website host Netlify, while our mailbox is hosted in Switzerland by Hostpoint. Contact-form submissions are therefore received, stored and spam-filtered on servers outside Switzerland, while email and mailbox data stay in Switzerland. For this transfer we rely on Netlify’s standard terms and its published data-protection commitments as the safeguard for the transfer. We will put in place any further safeguard that the applicable law requires.
9. How we protect your data (security)
- Traffic to this site is served over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) in transit.
- Our mailbox is access-limited to the principal-led advisory. The contact-form handler is operated by Netlify, and submissions are stored on servers outside Switzerland (see §8).
10. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify data that is inaccurate;
- Erase data (where the law provides);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Data portability where it applies;
- Withdraw any consent you gave, at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
- Complain to a supervisory authority.
How to exercise them
Write to contact@azma-consulting.ch. Tell us what you want and enough for us to identify the data concerned. We will respond without undue delay and within the period the applicable law requires.
Right to complain
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / EDÖB). If you are an EU visitor, you may also complain to the supervisory authority in your country.
11. Children’s data
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact contact@azma-consulting.ch and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes to the site, to our providers, or to the law. The current version is always published at /privacy/, with its effective and last-updated dates shown at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will make that clear on this page and, where required, provide a more prominent notice.
